This mansion, built in 1859, is typical of pre-Civil War Mississippi River plantations. It contains 15 rooms; nine fireplaces; 80 percent of Amanda Hunter's original furniture, which may be the largest collection of Mitchell-Rammelsburg furniture in the United States; and historic documents.
Tours: $5; ages 6-12 $3; younger than 6, free.
Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and January 1.
