Join us on Saturday, Sep. 14, 2024 to see demonstrations of traditional crafts unique to the lifestyle of homesteaders in the 1800s – enjoy live music and a presentation by historian, Dorris Keeven-Franke, that focuses on the German Settlement Society of Philadelphia that founded the city of Hermann.
See livestock demonstrations including the Farms magnificent Shire draft horses or enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the Farm. Children are encouraged to participate in a scavenger hunt as well (these games were popular in the mid-1800s). This year the festival will showcase a Deutsch Country Market, housed in a magnificent stone barn, where vendors will offer an array of distinctive wares. These are just a few of the exciting activities being offered at the festival!
