Northeast Restaurants

  • Farmhaus, St. Louis – This popular farm-to-table restaurant is dedicated to supporting local farms, organic food production and sustainable agriculture. Using fresh, seasonal ingredients, the menu changes daily and features cuisine with an edgy, refreshed take on Southern and Midwestern styles.
  • Heartwood Community Café, St. Charles – Serving fresh, plant-based foods and herbal tonics, the menu at Heartwood Community Café aims to nourish your body and soul. Offering breakfast, lunch and (early) dinner, the restaurant serves up zesty flavors all day.
  • Onesto Pizza & Trattoria, St. Louis – Indulge in the delectable fare at Onesto Pizza & Trattoria. The restaurant believes in supporting local farmers and that organic and seasonal fruits and vegetables create the best, freshest Italian cuisine possible. Furthermore, the meats are local, antibiotic and hormone free, making their pizza and pasta dishes flavorful and tender.

  • Vicia, St. LouisThis restaurant celebrates the Midwestern region and what it has to offer. By focusing on the best seasonal ingredients and obtaining goods from local farmers, fishers and artisans, Vicia strives to provide a distinctive, unforgettable dining experience that can be enjoyed in a new way each time.

Southeast Restaurants

  • Green’s Garden, Cape Girardeau – A market and restaurant, this location connects its guests with veggies, fruits and meats (butchered on site) grown by farmers from the local region. In addition to traditional choices, Green’s Garden explores different concepts, like Indian food! Enjoy the Veggie Uttapam, a rice and lentil pancake cooked with seasonal vegetables. Or, try the Dosa – a crispy, gluten-free wrap filled with spicy potato masala and garnished with one of their most craved items, the gongura pickle.
  • Celebrations, Cape Girardeau – The menu at Celebrations uses the finest products available. Fresh, seasonal produce from area farmers, plus seafood and game flown in throughout the year from small-scale farms and fisheries, allows the chef to prepare culinary delights that are creative and delicious every season.

Central Restaurants

  • Flyover, Columbia – Serving small plates designed for sharing, the elevated experience at Flyover boasts seasonal dishes with a distinctive Missouri twist. The small plates are wood fired and made with regional ingredients from nearby farms. Even more, the bar features Midwestern beers, wine and liquors, plus a craft cocktail menu designed with Missouri in mind.
  • 1932 Reserve, Osage Beach Book a table at 1932 Reserve, where history meets modern charm. Located in a building built in 1932, the restaurant’s dishes are crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, featuring dishes everyone will enjoy. In addition to the delectable tastes, there’s outdoor dining on the lake – creating a calm, refreshing atmosphere.

Southwest Restaurants

  • Finley Farms, Ozark – Overlooking the beautiful Finley River, The Ozark Mill Restaurant is a casual spot with something for everyone. The menu serves pizza, pasta and southern-inspired dishes featuring local, sustainable food sources, including produce grown on-site.
  • The Order, Springfield The Order, nestled within Hotel Vandivort, uses fresh, uses locally sourced ingredients to create a seasonal menu with a redefined take on Missouri cuisine. From gourmet mushrooms grown in the Ozark Mountains to creamy goat cheese created from Nubian’s goat milk, The Order’s fare celebrates the state’s landscape.
  • Harvest, Rogersville –The offerings at Harvest are rooted in family tradition. The chef has long been defined by hyper-seasonality, and the process of taking foraged ingredients straight to the kitchen has always been the norm. Alongside his wife, he sources products from the 89-year-old family farm (as well as other nearby Missouri farms). They’re open Thursday through Friday. Reservations are required. 

Northwest Restaurants

  • Acre, Parkville – Dine at Acre, where the chef pays homage to his grandparents’ Missouri farm by working with local farmers and ranchers to obtain the finest products for Acre’s dishes. The restaurant features a custom wood-burning hearth where locally raised meats and dry-aged steaks take center stage. This open kitchen concept creates an atmosphere of hospitality and warmth, ensuring guests feel welcome and comfortable
  • Affäre, Kansas City Affäre is an adventure in seasonal dining with a “seriously German twist.” Using products from Kansas City farmers, the owners provide a contemporary farm-to-table meal that is homey, yet sophisticated and elegant, with a twist of German flare in honor of their family heritage.
  • RooM39, Kansas City – Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, RooM39 has been a staple in the Kansas City area since 2004. The warm and welcoming atmosphere pairs well with the delicious farm-driven dishes. While the menu changes based on what the farmers deliver, diners can expect the menu to include soups and salads, small plates, entrée options, as well as an award-winning wine list.
  • The Farmhouse, Kansas City – Enjoy an elevated brunch experience at The Farmhouse. The chef’s farm-table-approach – drawing inspiration from his Hispanic culinary roots – ensures that guests receive the freshest ingredients from the surrounding region. The restaurant loves welcoming the farmers during the early hours, only to serve their delicious goodness to guests hours later!

Farm-To-Table Group Dining

  • Blue Skies Farm, Hannibal –Blue Skies Farm’s goal is to enjoy life, raise vegetables, bake some bread and share their food. Once a month, their onsite restaurant has a weekend of fine dining in an intimate setting. Call to reserve a seat for your next dinner!
  • Claverach Farm, Eureka – Dining at Claverach takes place in a 120-year-old renovated barn on the property. A true farm-to-table experience, their menus are based on the seasonal produce coming out of their fields and meats from neighboring farms. 
  • Mandy’s Bamboo Kitchen, Excello – Using locally sourced ingredients, including their own homegrown mushrooms, Mandy’s Bamboo Kitchen prepares authentic Asian fare. The restaurant has a unique approach where guests pass and share the dishes. This point of view fosters an atmosphere of camaraderie, conversation and connection

Seasonal Food Festivals

Missouri is home to an array of festivals that celebrate the state’s rich and seasonal fare. The events highlight local flavors, often featuring cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and shopping, and of course – the festival’s featured food prepared in a variety of ways.

  • Apple Festival – Celebrate the heritage of Seymour at the annual Apple Festival. The festival commemorates the apple orchards that made the town into what it is today. Moreover, there will be live music, a parade, an Apple Princess pageant, contests (apple peeling and apple baking), lots of tasty food, among other enjoyable activities.
  • East Prairie Sweet Corn Season – Get corny at East Prairie’s Sweet Corn festival in southeast Missouri. This popular event features pageants, a parade, vendors, live music, a bike decorating contest, sweet corn treats and more.
  • Grape and Fall Festival – A longstanding tradition in Hollister, the Grape and Fall Festival includes unique vendors, crafters and businesses, live entertainment and a grape stomping competition. It’s a full day of fun with nearly 10,000 annual visitors!
  • Peach Festival – Visit Downtown Kirkwood for a day of live music, peach-related treats and menu items at the local Farmers’ Market for the Peach Festival. You’ll walk away happily reminiscing, “What a peachy time!”
  • Soybean Festival – Attend the Soybean Festival in Mexico, Missouri. Activities include a carnival, live music, a cornhole tournament, and food and craft vendors.
  • Strawberry Festival – The Annual Strawberry Festival in Kimmswick has over 125 food and craft vendors, drawing thousands of visitors each year. The event bursts with fresh strawberries, strawberry shortcake, chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry iced-tea and other festival food favorites.
