We’re in the path of totality and we’re going to celebrate! Join us for two days of fun in the sun…and moon!
The area known as Arcadia Valley, comprised of the towns of Arcadia, Ironton and Pilot Knob, is hosting a two-day event to celebrate and view the astrological wonder of a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE.
We kick off the festivities on Sunday, April 7, with a Jeep Rally, Poker Run and alien-themed decoration contest at the Arcadia Valley Fairgrounds.
The Iron County Courthouse Square will be buzzing with activities including food trucks, craft and cottage food vendors, eclipse-themed items and food from local shops & restaurants, face painting, hair tinsel, yard games, selfie photo backdrop, chalk art, scavenger hunt, Silent Disco, bike workshop for the kids (with a chance to win a new bicycle!), inflatable Connect 4 basketball, bounce house, and more!
The Arcadia Valley Bike Club will be riding at 2 p.m., leaving from the Arcadia Valley Coffee Co. All ages and levels, E-bikes or pedals, are welcome to ride!
The historic Arcadia Academy is host to a car show, games, food trucks, beer garden, live music, and tours of their campus. They are also a camp and RV site for this event.
Sunday night is capped off with an outdoor showing of everyone’s favorite extraterrestrial being, ET, at Arcadia Academy. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs.
On Monday, April 8, the courthouse square and Arcadia Academy will continue their activities, but Monday also adds educational opportunities, art, and games at Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site.
Not to mention, viewing the total solar eclipse! We’ll be in totality for approximately 2.5 minutes.
