Come visit West Plains and experience over three minutes of totality for the April 8, 2024, solar eclipse! To celebrate our good fortune of being in the path of totality, we’re putting on a party, and you’re invited. It’s a four-day festival leading up to and including the big event which will occur in West Plains at 1:54 p.m. CDT.
The party kicks off Friday evening, April 5, with a concert at the West Plains Civic Center. Other weekend events include a 5K run at Galloway Park; Sunshine Festival with food trucks, a beer garden and craft vendors; Cosmic Carnival for kids; duck races; a neon parade through historic downtown West Plains; art exhibits and activities, including a live mural painting event; self-guided history tour; a hot air balloon glow which also includes fireworks and a performance by acclaimed indie band Ha Ha Tonka; and more!
Be sure to check the website, explorewestplains.com, and follow Eclipse West Plains and the Eclipse West Plains – Party in the Path event page on Facebook for updates as the big event gets closer. It’s going to be so much fun!
