Nature Rx: Black Bear Paper Mâché

Registration period:  October 6 – November 6

Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2024, 1:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 3:00 p.m.

Location: Twin Pines Conservation Education Center

Join us as we learn about Missouri black bears as you make your own paper mâché bear. This is a two-part class, and attendance is required for both days.

 

Birds: Cavity Nesters and Nesting Boxes (VIRTUAL)

Registration period: October 20 – November 20

Date: Wednesday, November 20, 2024, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Location: Online only

Interested in attracting cavity nesting birds to your yard? This presentation will discuss the different types of Missouri birds that occupy nesting boxes and how to build and maintain one in your own yard.

 

Nature Art: Pine Needlers

Registration period:  October 24 – November 21

Date: Thursday, November 21, 2024, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Location: Twin Pines Conservation Education Center

This class is a 12-month program (June 2024 – May 2025) that meets each month. You will learn simple, but beautiful embroidery techniques as we explore some of the most stunning and unique wildflowers native to Missouri.  By signing up, you are committing to attend all twelve of the monthly sessions so that you will be able to complete all 15 blocks for an entire quilt.

 

Nature Art: Pine Needlers (VIRTUAL)

Registration period:  October 24 – November 21

Date: Thursday, November 21, 2024, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Location: Twin Pines Conservation Education Center

Learn embroidery techniques while also exploring “Wildflowers” by stitching quilt blocks based on that theme.

 

Birds: Cavity Nesters: Build Your Own Nesting Box

Registration period: October 27 – November 23

Date: Saturday, November 23, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Location: Twin Pines Conservation Education Center

Interested in attracting cavity nesting birds to your yard? Then this class is for you. Not only will we discuss what types of Missouri birds are cavity nesters, but you will also build your own nesting box to take home and hang in your yard.
