Enjoy Western Missouri’s Fall Color

From pumpkin patches to the great outdoors, this trip was designed to showcase the best there is to see during fall in western Missouri. The Show-Me State has a lot to offer, so get ready for an exciting adventure.

Day One

A. The Farmhouse

If you’re looking for creative comfort food, look no further than The Farmhouse. They work with local farms during the early hours of the day and serve their products to guests in the same day.

B. Stockton State Park

After lunch, take a drive down to Stockton Lake for some outdoor adventure. The park's lake features 300 miles of untouched shoreline, and visitors can enjoy sailing and fishing on the lake, as well as hiking and biking on the miles of trails surrounding it. One afternoon here may not be enough, so you can always camp or book a cabin here if you are ready to stop for the night.

C. Mother’s Brewing Company

If you decide to move along in your trip, Springfield will be your next stop. Mother’s Brewing Company is well known in Missouri, and for good reason. Sample some of their delicious beers inside their tasting room, or outside in “The Backyard.” This brewery focuses on making beers people will love, and also has a philosophy that their customers are just more members of their family.

Day Two

A. Mother’s Brewing Company

The Aviary Café and Creperie is the perfect breakfast or brunch spot, located in the middle of Springfield. Stop here for tasty and unique treats, ranging from the sweet to the savory. Each dish is made from scratch and offers premium ingredients, local and seasonal vegetables and fresh-baked goods.

B. Dogwood Canyon Nature Park

Continue your fall adventure with the beautiful Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. This beautiful property remains relatively untouched and is ready to be explored. Dogwood Canyon features 10,000 acres of Ozark paradise with waterfalls, caves, bison, elk and more. There are a variety of activities offered, including biking, horseback riding, Segways, fishing, tram tours and 3D archery.

C. Top of the Rock Golf Course

Your next stop is absolutely spectacular, especially in fall. Top of the Rock Golf Course is a nine-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus, so get ready for a great game. If golf isn’t your thing, the grounds also feature the Lost Canyon Nature Trail and the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum.You’ll find Top of the Rock so beautiful, you may never want to leave. Enjoy one of the many fantastic dining options while taking in stunning views of Table Rock Lake and the golf course. Options include Osage Restaurant, Buffalo Bar or Arnie’s Barn.

Night One

A. The Elms Hotel and Spa

Prepare for your trip with a night of relaxation. A good night’s sleep is rejuvenating, but consider booking a spa treatment or grotto experience. Trust us, you won’t regret it. It’ll be just the thing you need before setting out on an epic adventure through western Missouri.

Night Two

A. Mansion at Elfindale Bed and Breakfast

Built in 1892, this lavish Victorian mansion is sure to please even the biggest of history buffs. This bed-and-breakfast features 13 suites, each with a private bath and antique furnishings.

Night Three

A. Big Cedar Lodge
