Multiple historic lodging options! First is the beautifully restored 1860s Dickhaus-Stemme home furnished with period furniture and items. Visitors can rent one bedroom or the entire house.
Also on-site and available to reserve are the Mellein Log Cabin and Alfermann Stone Cabin. The furnishings represent an 1800s lifestyle while also offering some hidden modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable. These cabins are a real escape to a simpler time.
If you are looking for something even more adventurous, the Conestoga wagon, Sheepherder wagon, and seven authentic tipis are available. Tipis and wagons are a great place to rest after a bike ride on the Katy Trail or as a place to escape from the demands of modern living. Tipis and wagons overlook the village and a lovely pond that captures the sunset.
Property includes the Daniel Boone Grave site and a village of historic log and stone cabins, tipis, schoolhouse and event barn that is available to hold celebrations for all life’s special occasions.
