Watkins Mill State Park has basic, electric and family campsites. Each site has a graveled parking pad, a picnic table, a fire ring and a lantern hook. Some sites are wheelchair accessible. Facilities include water, two showerhouses, a laundry facility and a dump station. A special-use area is also available.
The park also offers picnic sites; a lake for fishing, swimming and boating; and trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding. Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site, located adjacent to the park, features tours of a 19th-century woolen mill, a living history farm program, and a visitor center and museum with exhibits and an audio-visual room.
