Main campground:
Watkins Mill State Park has basic, electric and family campsites. Each site has a graveled parking pad, a picnic table, a fire ring and a lantern hook. Some sites are wheelchair accessible. Facilities include water, two showerhouses, a laundry facility and a dump station. During the off-season (November through mid-April), water is available only from a hydrant at the dump station. Some campsites are available year-round, but reservations are available only during the off-season (mid-April through October).
Reservations can be made online or by calling 877-422-6766. A $2 per night camping discount is available year-round for senior citizens (65 years and older), people with disabilities, current and former military personnel, and family members of active-duty military personnel. Proper identification is required to receive these discounts. Visit our camping rates page for more information.
The highest and lowest nightly rates for the main campgrounds are shown in the “Room Rates” section of this listing.
Special-use camping area:
A special-use camping area is designated for group camping, with nonprofit organizations and youth groups having priority. The area is available for $2 per person, per night and can be reserved by calling the park at 816-580-3387.

The park also offers picnic sites; a lake for fishing, swimming and boating; and trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding. Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site, located adjacent to the park, features tours of a 19th-century woolen mill, a living history farm program, and a visitor center and museum with exhibits and an audio-visual room.
