Good day. I’m your ever-evolving History Mo. A pleasure to meet you. I can walk and talk about what makes Missouri, Missouri. But I’d rather take you to the places and exhibits that bring the past to life. If you feel so inclined, follow me.
Blind Boone Home, Columbia
Knowing one’s past is the key to understanding one’s future. We can all learn something from historic battlefield sites, the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum and the National WWI Museum and Memorial. Missouri also offers The Way of American Genius — a stretch of road connecting the boyhood homes of Mark Twain and Walt Disney. Up for a real challenge? We can tour a haunted penitentiary. If it were up to me, I’d have us at several museums and learning centers to take in the breadth of Missouri’s history. I’ve archived them below.
