The cave was discovered in 1925 and opened to the public in 1927. Substantial artifacts were discovered, including arrowheads, grinding stones, tools made of bone, with some items dating to 5,000 B.C.
Bluff Dwellers Cave is open for tours year-round. Guided tours take approximately one hour and are limited in size due to the nature of some passageways. All tours are first come, first served. Last tour is one hour before closing time.
The museum is included with admission and has a wide variety of rocks, minerals, fossils, arrowheads, artifacts, antiques and more. Gem panning is available. To fully enjoy the cave and the museum, allow 1.5-2 hours.
