Edwards Mill at College of the Ozarks

See Photo Location

Edwards Mill and General Store is a working grist mill powered by a 12-foot water wheel. Although the mill was built in 1972, it was constructed using timber harvested from older Missouri mills. Students from College of the Ozarks grind cornmeal and grits using this centuries old milling process, which may be purchased on site and they handcraft a variety of other milled goods. The Mill houses a weaving studio, where students design and produce hand-made baskets, and they showcase the history of fiber arts; all are available for purchase. The basement holds an exhibit of antique milling equipment.
