Historic Downtown Pleasant Hill is a National Register District comprising over 40 structures, the oldest of which dates back to 1865.
Notable downtown features include the 1903 Missouri Pacific Depot, the 1899 Kellogg Opera House, the Peoples Theater, Depot Park, several murals, a museum and a variety of specialty shops.
The Depot Park Gazebo sits in the middle of the uniquely triangular-shaped “square.”
Winding its way through the downtown is a “cycle track” section of hiking/biking trail which links the Old MOPAC Trail with the new Rock Island Trail State Park.
Historic Downtown Pleasant Hill is truly “Where the Tracks Meet the Trail.”
