This memorial is dedicated to and lists the names of Howell County residents who have given their lives in defense of our country in WWI and II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

At the monument, there is a small stone sculpture of a cross, flanked by a helmet and combat boots. The cross serves to hold the wreath which is placed annually at the memorial by “Gold Star Mothers” during Memorial Day ceremonies.
