In September 2008, the Guinness Book of World Records awarded Dan and Carolyn Sanazaro’s 42’1″ steel rocker the designation World’s Largest Rocking Chair. It has since been eclipsed by another chair as the world’s largest, but it remains a roadside curiosity along Historic Route 66, about four miles west of Cuba, Mo. It’s now painted orange and is known to many as the Route 66 Rocker.
