This museum is a gathering of 19th century buildings; dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Missouri’s early history and architecture.The facility is open daily for self-guided walking tours. The area features 13 structures, including a grist mill, school, church, mercantile, and other log cabins. Walking tour maps are available at the kiosk and the porch of the Mercantile. Picnic tables are available. The buildings are open during events only. Private tours are available by reservation. This site hosts weddings, school programs, and reenactments throughout the year, including Pioneer Days, 10a.m.-1 p.m., June-September; the Kids Safe Trick or Treat, 10 a.m.-2p.m., usually the last Saturday in October; and A Visit From St. Nicholas, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., the first Saturday in December.See website for more information and schedules.
