Sikeston Historic Homes Walking/Driving Tour

See Photo Location

In 1789 Sikeston was just another stop along the El Camino Real, also known as “The King’s Highway,” which connected New Madrid to St. Louis. By the early 1900s, Sikeston boasted more millionaires per capita than any other city of its size in the U.S.

Enjoy Sikeston’s Historic Walking/Driving Tour, featuring more than 24 homes, circa 1889 through 1924, constructed when “Cotton was King.” Brochures available upon request.
