Founded in 1779, Soulard Market has been located in a “Grand Hall” since 1838. The facility is built in the Italian Renaissance “H” style, with a central section for shops and four wings of vendor stalls.More than 140 vendors fill the open-air market with fresh produce, meat, seafood, cheese, snacks, baked goods, spices, flowers, and other merchandise.The market has free and metered parking, plus a playground, a park and a plaza.
