St. Louis Mercantile Library Tours

See Photo Location

Join us at the St. Louis Mercantile Library for a free, docent-led tour of the Library, including a chance to see the latest exhibitions “Three Great Women Book Artists” in the entrance gallery; “Frederick Oakes Sylvester & His Circle” in the Wallace H. Smith Gallery;  and “Landscapes Before Sylvester” in the Atrium Galleries. These focused exhibitions highlight groundbreaking women in the field of fine press and book arts, an exploration into St. Louis’s art world and the city’s leading artists around the turn of the 21st century, and 19th century landscapes of St. Louis and the west. Our public tours provide a wonderful opportunity for lively discussions about topics ranging from the founding of St. Louis to the Mercantile’s art collections, railroad and steamboat travel plus much more! Phone 314-516-7248 to schedule your tour.
