Located near Lake of the Ozarks, Stark Caverns takes you on a journey through the ages as you explore amazing geological formations, Native American artifacts, & ancient bear beds. See Moonshiner’s Dam, the Wishing Well, and our own Grand Canyon. Learn all about stalagmites, stalactites, and fluorescent minerals, while discovering a whole new world underground.
During your tour, you will learn about the geological formations of the Ozark Plateau, examine our extensive local arrowhead collection, and see perhaps one of the largest specimens of stromatolite fossils in North America. You may also spot an elusive cave salamander, crayfish or bat.
Our daily tours are open to all ages, and our caverns are 85% wheelchair accessible with wide walking paths and areas to rest. Open year-round, closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Be sure to take the time to enjoy the scenic view from our wrap-around porch at the Visitor Center, or have a picnic at one of our conveniently placed outdoor tables. Try your hand at sluice mining or even crack open a geode to create a one-0f-a-kind souvenir.
