Taum Sauk Mountain State Park

At an elevation of 1,772 feet, this park contains the highest point in Missouri. Features include picnic sites, primitive campsites, hiking trails (including one that is also open to backpacking), an accessible overlook, and the state’s highest wet-weather waterfall.

The park is located off Route 21, 9 miles southwest of Ironton on Route CC. It is managed by Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park.
